Today's Wisdom from beyond

You have heard it said that nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come.

Sound good?... Do you believe it? Why do you believe it?

I am feeling and thinking that ideas themselves are not powerful and ideas put into action are very powerful.

There are ideas everywhere, some that work and some that don’t work.

We have all had some good ideas that have great potential and remain in potential.

Let's take an Idea whose time has come and make it happen.

We can put a man on the moon and see the Universe through a telescope, we can exceed the speed of sound and send sound bites around the world and yet we ignore the sounds of mothers crying because their sons and daughters are being killed in senseless wars. We cannot or will not hear the voices of the dead innocents who have been caught in the crossfire of drive by shootings or the cry of those who are not heard and the screams of those who feel the need to be right even if it takes the life of another. I don't know what to do or how to do it. I know the answer lies within all of us and the creative force I call God will, with our help, give us the answer to the abolision of Hate, War, Starvation and Extreme Poverty. Will you join with me each day anytime between Noon and 1PM for just a moment or two and let go with me violence, hatred and condemnation? See with me love, respect and compassion. We can change the world... why not?

"There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why... I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?" - Robert Kennedy

Please let me know if you can help

"The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral,

begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy.
Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it.
Through violence you may murder the liar,
but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth.
Through violence you may murder the hater,
but you do not murder hate.
In fact, violence merely increases hate.
So it goes.
Returning violence for violence multiplies violence,
adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness:
only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
