Looking at the Christmas Story

If we are willing to look at the Christmas story metaphysically, it isn’t about a person born long ago in a distant place. That was Jesus. The Christmas story is our story. In Unity, the Christ spirit, born in us, is what we celebrate at Christmas time.

And so as we move through the Advent season, it is a time to rekindle and refocus on the Divine possibility in all children and that would include those children who have now grown tall. Yes, that would be you and me.

Have you ever stopped to see the inherent possibility present in your own life?  What is the possibility that is present in that beautiful baby that we see lying in its manger or bed? Isn’t that same possibility present in you?

You too were a beautiful baby…and I'm here to tell you that nothing has changed.  You are as beautiful and endowed with possibility as a newborn. That is the beauty and possibility Christmas represents to us in this season.  It doesn't matter if you are 50, 60, 70 or beyond.  That is the beauty and possibility Christmas represents to us in this season.

We have been birthed with the creative power of spirit. Christmas reminds us of this birthright that we all share. As we remember this is so, we open ourselves to possibilities. What goodness do we want to have birthed through us? This is the beauty and possibility of Christmas.

Merry Christmas and Blessings for the happiest of New Years.
