• SPIRITUAL CINEMA proudly presents The Gospel According to St. Matthew -- Writer/Director Pier Pasolini’s biblical drama is a gripping, neo-realistic depiction of the life of Jesus Christ that departs from the elaborate tradition of Hollywood biblical epics.  Pasolini’s documentary-style camera captures Christ’s meetings with the men who were to become his disciples, the Last Supper, the betrayal by   Judas, and the Crucifixion.  An impassioned soundtrack, including the music of Bach, Mozart, and Prokofiev, lends a further aura of spiritual intensity to the events.  Post-movie discussion facilitated by Tom Sylvester.  Popcorn provided, Love Offering received.
