Rev. Michael Brooks


"My objective is to grow in consciousness through the practice of prayer and meditation toward a continuous spiritual awakening on a daily basis. I am committed to inspire and empower others to awaken through their own spiritual practice and the application of principles taught by Unity to bring the message of true Christianity to all who are willing to hear it"   


Rev. Michael served Unity Church of Truth in Massillon Ohio for two years and Unity of the White Mountains in Lakeside Arizona for seven years prior to coming to New Thought Unity Center. He has served on a regional and national level as the Vice President of the Southwest Regional board and as a member of the Licensing and Ordination team at Unity Worldwide Ministries.


Rev. Michael has made significant strides in the communities he has served including marked growth in consciousness and numbers. He has brought awareness, and abundance to the communities and teams he has served. Rev. Michael is aware of the significance of social media and its part in outreach in order to get our message to the spiritual seeker community as a whole.


Rev. Michael is active in the community including 12 step meetings, community poetry reading, Christmas programs, Interfaith singing, meditations, and prayer. He also provides spiritual counsel for other professionals in the community. His experience and educational background includes 40 plus years of meditation, over 30 years of recovery. He is a graduate of Unity's Continuing Education Program, holds a Bachelor's degree equivalency, Ministerial Education Program and is Licensed and Ordained by Unity Worldwide Ministries. Michael teaches classes on meditation, forgiveness, prosperity, wholeness and several other topics. He speaks most Sundays at New Thought Unity Center where he joins his wife and spiritual partner Rev. Meghan Smith Brooks  



Rev. Meghan Smith Brooks



Rev. Meghan is an Ordained Unity Minister and Licensed Unity Teacher, with 21 years experience in ministry. She has a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Trinity College & University, and is a graduate of the Leadership Development Program and Ministerial Education Program from Unity’s educational Institute. She has been a popular guest speaker, teacher, and presenter at Unity & Religious Science churches throughout the Northwest, Midwest and Southwest since 1996.


As a Spiritual Leader, she has served spiritual centers in Kingston, WA, Mesa, AZ – as Associate Minister, Brea, CA and Pasadena, CA as Senior Minister. She currently serves as Co-Minister with her husband Rev. Michael Brooks, at New Thought Unity Center of Cincinnati. They met each other in seminary at Unity Institute and were blessed to be ordained on the same day together June 14, 2007, and now to serve as partners in life and ministry, the fulfillment of a life vision.


She serves NTUC as the trainer and coordinator of our Prayer Chaplain Program, organizer of the newly reformed Women of Wisdom group, Adult Education Teacher, YFM minister support and member of the Board of Trustees among her many areas of support.


As a teacher of Truth, Rev. Meghan was a Registered Hypnotherapist in the State of Washington, and continues to serve as spiritual counselor, committed to assisting individuals in discovering the divine within and living to their full potential. She also officiates for weddings, memorials, christenings, house and business blessings. Rev. Meghan has produced two meditation CD’s and has several workshops available based on her work as well. She enjoys exploring life, a regular yoga practice, walking the beach, swimming, kayaking, dancing, reading, hiking, horseback riding and singing whenever she gets the opportunities. Being a part of New Thought Unity Center’s music team is a special joy!


Meghan, originally from the Northwest, had two grown sons, one living in the Seattle, WA area, and the other having transitioned to the other side of existence, but living in her heart for eternity. She also is blessed to have two grand­daughters, one from each son. Her life ambition is to live life fully and express herself authentically in everything she does.
